Biology is an exciting and dynamic field focusing on the study of living things and their environments. The Biology Department creates an inclusive learning environment, engaging in critical inquiry, extending scientific knowledge and practices to foster energized citizens, and mentoring creative, competent professionals in biological and natural resource sciences.

Program Overview

The biology program prepares students for leading positions in a wide range of careers that improve human welfare and environmental 管理. 学生 can customize their program by specializing in areas that focus on genetics, ecology and evolutionary biology, general studies for preprofessional programs, or teacher certification.

An undergraduate minor and a master of science in biology are also available.
