Cybersecurity is focused on protecting the confidentiality,
integrity, and availability of data, information, and computer
系统. It includes learning how to recognize risks, implement and
test security measures, investigate attacks, and defend against
adversaries. Graduates possess the combination of knowledge and
practical, hands-on expertise to defend an organization's information
系统 from a wide variety of internal and external threats.

The Bachelor of Science degree in cybersecurity at Grand Valley provides broad coverage of cybersecurity concepts as well as hands-on 技术. A strong computing foundation ensures that students have the knowledge to understand the effects of security measures on computing 系统 as a whole, as well as how to apply security measures to a variety of computing 系统. Admission Requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum criteria to be considered. However, achievement of the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission to the major.
- overall GPA 2.5 or above in all GVSU coursework
- GPA 2.5 or above in technical core (only one repeat per course allowed)
- completion of each course in the technical core with a grade of “C” or above
