Cybersecurity is focused on protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data, information, and computer 系统. Program Overview

The Bachelor of Science degree in cybersecurity at Grand Valley provides broad coverage of cybersecurity concepts as well as hands-on 技术. A strong computing foundation ensures that students have the knowledge to understand the effects of security measures on computing 系统 as a whole, as well as how to apply security measures to a variety of computing 系统. Coverage of societal and organizational issues regarding cybersecurity prepares students with the necessary context to understand how to apply these skills to the diverse challenges facing a wide variety of organizations.

Admission Requirements

Applicants must meet the following minimum criteria to be considered. However, achievement of the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission to the major.

  • overall GPA 2.5 or above in all GVSU coursework
  • GPA 2.5 or above in technical core (only one repeat per course allowed)
  • completion of each course in the technical core with a grade of “C” or above
